Summary: An unemployed clerk, about to take up a new position, is offered a job by a man who then appears disguised as his brother.

A stockbroker's clerk, Hall Pycraft, applies for a position in a firm but, just before he is about to take it up, a man appears and offers him another position. The location of the company is basic and suspicious, and Pycraft recognises that the man at the company is actually the original man in disguise.

The plot was to lure the clerk away from the original job who was then impersonated by another man with the intention of robbing the company.
